The potential of proton CT

Proton therapy necessitates a high level of delivery accuracy in order to fully exploit the selective targeting imparted by the Bragg peak. The technique, however, comes with a number of inherent uncertainties. Speaking at the 2nd ESTRO Forum, held earlier this week in Geneva, Switzerland, Reinhard Schulte from Loma Linda University (Loma Linda, CA) described how the emergence of proton CT could improve the precision of proton delivery.
