To be held on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th January 2014 at the Cockcroft Institute on the Daresbury Science and Technology Campus (Sci-Tech Daresbury).
The following topics will be discussed:
- Recent experience with novel methods in gantries, e.g. scanning systems, dose delivery schemes;
- Projects and ideas to reduce the size or weight of future gantries;
- Interface issues, for example interaction with imaging systems, couch movement etc.
At the workshop there will also be an opportunity to hear about the two new proton therapy centres to be constructed in the UK, and to visit the Daresbury accelerators, including ALICE and EMMA.
